Carpenter

The qualified carpenter will be able to build the large wooden constructions in connection with the building of, e.g. roof constructions and other bearing parts. The qualified person will be able to lay floors, install ceilings, rafters and tiles with hammers, saws and other hand tools, carry out heat insulation and set up partition walls made of wood. In addition, the qualified person will be able to install windows, doors and various inventory.

The qualified person will be able to plan and execute ordinary tasks presented by society to the trade field in the expected quality and pursuant to laws, regulations and traditions.

The qualified person will also be able to participate in the planning and execution of special tasks in the trade field including innovative and problem-solving work. The qualified person will be able to perform information searching, selection and advice on materials, construction and fitting methods, as well as quality assurance and quality control plus plan, organise and execute tasks in cooperation with the other trade groups at the workplace.

The qualified person will be able to apply laws and regulations regarding construction, including fire protection, working environment, competitive bidding and tendering, as well as plan and perform tasks in consideration of the immediate, surrounding and global environment.
