The qualified painter can communicate with customers and partners, participate in conflict resolution and solution of working environment problems and relate to the importance of the working environment and external environment to health and quality of life.

Furthermore, the qualified person will be able to plan, agree beforehand and price his own work, including search information on the materials’ technical, environmental and working environmental as well as financial specifications in written and electronic media.

The qualified painter will be able to draw simple decorations on the basis of concepts and prepare sketches as well as perform colour analysis, colour emulation, colour blending and colour schemes in consideration of the colours’ physical, aesthetic and blending properties and use the colours creatively, including assess aesthetic elements such as style, shape and colour.

In addition, the qualified person will be able to assess ordinary base coats and select and assess the relation between tools, equipment, materials and techniques for preparation, treatment structure from start to finish, for lacquering, wall covering, simple tasks in historical paint materials and modern decorative painting techniques.

The qualified person will be able to identify possibilities for improvements on materials, tools, techniques, etc. and participate in the development of the trade, including innovatively use knowledge of factors that create technological development and product development.

Moreover, the qualified person will be able to assess the quality of his or her own work, including involving plans, process and result of the work in consideration of standards and norms, and use IT equipment for planning of systematic quality control and maintenance as well as perform area calculation, material calculation (quantity and paint coverage) as well as measuring.
